The Color Green
Always green: Alexandrite,* Bloodstone, Chrysocolla, Chrysoprase, Chrome Diopside, Demantoid Garnet, Emerald, Hiddenite, Malachite, Moldavite, Peridot, Tsavorite Garnet
Sometimes green: Agate, Amazonite, Apatite, Coral, Diamond, Drusy Quartz, Fluorite, Jade (Jadeite and Nephrite), Jasper, Kyanite, Sapphire, Serpentine, Tourmaline, Turquoise, Zircon
* Alexandrite is a rare gem that is pleochroic (changes colors): it is green in sunlight, but red/violet in lamplight or candlelight.
Note: some predominantly green gemstones may be mottled, speckled or banded to a lesser or greater degree. In particular, bloodstone must have red spots/streaks.
